President prorogues winter session of both Houses

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has prorogued the ongoing session of both Houses of the Federal Parliament, effective from midnight on Tuesday.

The President made this decision based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Clause (2) of Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Earlier, during a Council of Ministers meeting held on Monday, the ministers had recommended that the President prorogue the ongoing session of both Houses from midnight on Tuesday.
