BELAURA: A male tiger captured from Tedhuwa village in Belauri Municipality-2, Kanchanpur, will soon be released into the core area of Shuklaphanta National Park.

The adult tiger was discovered in a wheat field on Sunday and was later tranquilized by a team of forest technicians. It is currently being held at the Kanchanpur Division Forest Office.

“The tiger is in good health with no injuries,” said Ram Bichari Thakur, Chief of the District Forest Office. “It will be safely released into a designated area of the national park.”

The rescue operation involved two elephants and a drone camera to track and capture the big cat.
