HoR meeting taking place today; three bills set for approval



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting under the Federal Parliament is taking place today.

Scheduled to begin at 11 am, this meeting marks the conclusion of the ongoing winter session.

The government has already recommended that President Ram Chandra Poudel formally end the session at midnight.

During today’s proceedings, Prime Minister KP Oli is scheduled to present the sixth annual report of the National Inclusion Commission and the Muslim Commission (2080-81).

Additionally, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey is slated to propose a motion to consider the Nepal Air Services Authority Bill, 2081 and the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill, 2081.

Similarly, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel will put forward a motion regarding the Amendment made by the National Assembly to the Banking Offences and Punishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080, according to Parliament Secretariat.

Likewise, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Bidya Bhattarai will propose discussions on the Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences Bill, 2080, along with the report from the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee, before seeking its approval.

Furthermore, Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Deepak Khadka will present the Water Resources Bill, 2081, along with the Infrastructure Development Committee’s report, before moving for its passage.
