DHARAN: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said there is no option but to move ahead by embracing technology and innovation to intensify development activities.

Inaugurating the Delta 5.0 National-Level Technical Festival organized by the students of Purbanchal Engineering Campus, Dharan, Bhandari shared that engineering students are pillars of innovation and invention.

She shared, “I have focused all my attention to country’s education, health sector, employment and mitigation of climate change impacts.”

Stating that Dharan Engineering Campus should be a leading institute in the country, the former President suggested that the students implemented their knowledge gained from university class and research in self-entrepreneurship and employment generation.

According to her, Nepal’s engineering history is prestigious. “It is matter of pride while remembering Araniko, who expanded Pyagoda style in China during the 13th century as well as other ancestors involved in art work—sculpture,” she reminded.
