Students lock Ramswarup Ramsagar Campus office over exam center dispute

KATHMANDU: Students of Ramswarup Ramsagar Multiple Campus in Janakpurdham have staged a protest, voicing their dissatisfaction with the decision to relocate their examination center to other campuses.

The first-semester undergraduate-level examinations are set to begin on January 1.

The students locked the campus administration office and chanted slogans against the administration, demanding that their exams be held at their home center in the campus itself.

Manish Yadav, president of the campus’s Free Students’ Union (FSU), supported the protest, describing the decision as unjustified.

In a press release, Yadav criticized the relocation of the examination center to Model Multiple College, Public Youth Campus, and Rajarshi Janak Campus, stating that Ramswarup Ramsagar Multiple Campus already has a home center for such exams.

Yadav warned that the campus administration, the central office, and the Office of the Controller of Examinations would bear responsibility for any disruption or damage caused during the examinations.

The campus administration has yet to comment on the matter. The students have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are met.
