Ambassadors from five countries including China, India to return by August 31

KATHMANDU: The government has mandated the recall of ambassadors from five countries, including China, India, and the United States, by August 31.

This decision was made during a cabinet meeting on Monday, according to Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister for Communication and Information Technology and government spokesperson.

Minister Gurung announced that the ambassadors being recalled are from China, Australia, Russia, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.

The government has also appointed new ambassadors to these countries. The newly appointed ambassadors are as follows:

Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli for China

Kanta Rijal for Australia

Junga Bahadur Chauhan for Russia

Dr. Kapilman Shrestha for South Africa

Ram Krishna Bhattarai for Sri Lanka

Additionally, the government has appointed ambassadors for 18 countries:

Dr. Shankar Sharma – India

Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahamphe – South Korea

Naresh Bikran Dhakal – Saudi Arabia

Dr. Kapilman Shrestha – South Africa

Dhan Prasad Pandit – Israel

Ram Krishna Bhattarai – Sri Lanka

Sanil Nepal – Spain

Dr. Sailesh Rupakheti – Germany

Lokdarshan Regmi – USA

Chandra Kumar Ghimire – UN

Kanta Rijal – Australia

Junga Bahadur Chauhan – Russia

Ram Chandra Paudel – Qatar

Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli – China

Sumnima Tuladhar – Denmark

Netra Prasad Timilsina – Malaysia
