SUNSARI: A writ petition challenging the alleged illegal appointment of Prof. Dr. Prahlad Karki as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has been filed in the High Court of Biratnagar.
The High Court has scheduled the hearing for the case on Friday.
Prof. Dr. Pralhad Karki’s appointment is being questioned on the grounds of illegality. Protesting staff, teachers, students, and Institute beneficiaries have jointly demanded the annulment of this appointment, and the writ was officially filed on Tuesday.
In response to the controversy surrounding Karki’s appointment, Suman Shrestha from Dharan filed the writ against the Chancellor, Co-Chancellor, and Vice-Chancellor of BPKIHS.
