Flood warning: 27 districts, including Sindhupalchowk and Kathmandu, at risk

KATHMANDU: The Flood Forecasting Division has warned of potential flooding in 27 districts across the country, including Sindhupalchowk and Kathmandu.

The Division has ofrecasted an increase in river flow for most rivers in Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Lamjung, Kaski, Doti, and surrounding areas.

Some rivers may experience sudden surges. The Division has urged residents to remain highly vigilant.

Additionally, an increase in river flow is anticipated for rivers in Udayapur, Ramechhap, Dhading, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Parbat, Gulmi, Pyuthan, Salyan, Surkhet, Rukum East, Rukum West, Dailekh, Kalikot, Acham, Bajhang, Darchula, and nearby districts.
