Heavy rainfall expected in the next three days



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days across various parts of the country.

The Division has advised the public to stay alert, especially as extremely heavy rainfall is expected predominantly during the nights.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari stated that while significant rainfall is anticipated at night, continuous rainfall is not expected.

The forecast includes generally cloudy weather nationwide with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms tonight.

Adhikari further noted that heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is predicted in certain areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few locations in the remaining provinces.

Currently, light to moderate rainfall is occurring in parts of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, with similar conditions expected in a few other regions.

On Tuesday afternoon, cloudy weather will prevail across the country, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms expected in some areas of all provinces.

On Tuesday night, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is anticipated in select areas of Bagmati, Madhes, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with one or two locations in other provinces also likely to experience significant rain.

Wednesday’s weather forecast indicates continued cloudiness throughout the country.

Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in parts of Madhes Province and other areas in the afternoon.

By night, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is forecasted for parts of Madhes, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with heavy rainfall possible in one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
