Indian national arrested with gold

KATHMANDU: An Indian woman has been arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with gold.

The 32-year-old Indian woman identified as Bethlehem was apprehended by security personnel at the arrival tunnel gate of the airport.

She was found in possession of 220 grams of gold in the form of bracelets and earrings, which she had concealed.

According to the police, she arrived in Kathmandu via Fly Dubai flight on Saturday.

She has been taken into custody for further investigation and legal action by the customs office at Tribhuvan Airport.
