Fake Bhutanese Refugee Scam: Court grants 7-day pre-trial detention against Bechan Jha

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has extended the detention period by 7 days for Bechan Jha, who was arrested in connection with the fake Bhutanese refugee case.

The court has granted permission for an investigation into fraud and organized crime.

Jha, who had been evading arrest for a long time, was brought under control by Nepal Police’s Special Bureau from Kanchanpur last Friday.
