Police rescue Nepali held hostage after return from Qatar

KATHMANDU: Police from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended two individuals on Tuesday for holding Sikendra Yadav, a recent returnee from Qatar, hostage in Kathmandu.

Sikendra had arrived in Nepal on Monday.

Ajim Ali and M.D. Sahni were arrested on charges of kidnapping Sikendra.

According to SSP Sanuram Bhattarai, the suspects demanded Rs 480,000 for Sikendra’s release.

He was found tied up in a room in Sinamangal.
