Youth arrested for carrying pistol



KATHMANDU: A team from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office (KVPO) Ranipokhari has arrested a man along with a 9mm pistol from local Koteshwar today.

The arrestee is 33-year-old Sunrise Khadka of Narephant, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-33, said Senior Superintendent of Police Binod Ghimire, the spokesperson of the KVPO Ranipokhari.

“Our team arrested Khadka from Hotel Bishpul based on a tip-off that transaction in a small firearm was taking place at Koteshwar area,” SSP Ghimire said.

Police confiscated one 9mm pistol, the magazine of the pistol and nine bullets from Khadka’s possession. SSP Ghimire said further investigation is on in this connection.
