Gorkha landslide: Bodies of 4 missing people found



GORKHA: The bodies of four individuals who went missing after a landslide in Gorkha have been recovered.

The landslide occurred in Dharche Rural Municipality-5, Gorkha district.

The deceased, identified as 37-year-old Jit Bahadur Gurung, his 35-year-old wife Kanchi Gurung, 60-year-old father Suklal Kancha Gurung, and 33-year-old Ramesh Gurung, were located by a search team comprised of the Nepali Army, Armed Police, Nepal Police, and local representatives.

Five people were initially reported missing.

The search for the remaining individual, 24-year-old Ramesh Pariyar, a tractor driver, is ongoing, but his body has not yet been found.

Additionally, two individuals who were seriously injured in the landslide, 35-year-old Dilip Gurung and 27-year-old Kham Bahadur Gurung, have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
