Suhang maintains commanding lead of almost 5,000 votes in Ilam-2 by-election

KATHMANDU: Suhang Nembang, the CPN-UML candidate for the Ilam-2 by-election, continues to dominate the vote count with a staggering lead of nearly 5,000 votes.

According to the latest update on the vote count, Suhang has amassed an impressive 13,900 votes, firmly establishing his frontrunner status.

In contrast, his closest competitor, Dambar Khadka, trails behind with 4,986 votes, reflecting a significant margin of 4,914 votes between the two candidates.

Dakendra Thegim follows with 8,285 votes, trailing Khadka by 629 votes.

Meanwhile, Milan Limbu of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lags further behind with only 1,945 votes secured thus far.

As the by-election progresses, Suhang’s substantial lead underscores his strong position in the electoral race.
