T20 encounter: Nepal ‘A’ set to clash with Ireland ‘A’ today

KATHMANDU: Nepal ‘A’ is set to clash with Ireland ‘A’ in the opening T20 encounter starting at 2 pm today at Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

The T20 series between Nepal and Ireland ‘A’ faced an initial setback as rain interrupted Thursday’s scheduled match, prompting the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to reschedule the series.

Under the leadership of Binod Bhandari, Nepal ‘A’ is geared up for a thrilling three-match T20 and one-day series against Ireland ‘A’.

The revised schedule indicates the first T20 match between Nepal ‘A’ and Ireland ‘A’ will take place at TU Ground in Kirtipur today.

The second match is slated for tomorrow, followed by the final showdown on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the ODI series remains unaffected by the delay, with matches scheduled to commence on April 3.

The one-day fixtures will unfold on April 5 and 7 at the Kirtipur ground.

Previously, Ireland ‘A’ engaged in a two-match T20 series against Nepal’s national team, which resulted in Nepal securing victories in both encounters.
