Home Minister Gurung inspects flood-prone Roshi River area in Kavre

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudan Gurung visited the Roshi River area in Kavrepalanchok District on Tuesday for an on-site inspection along with his team.

The visit comes amid repeated complaints from local residents about the hardships caused by annual flooding during the monsoon season.

During the inspection, Minister Gurung assessed the condition of flood-affected areas and reviewed the situation of settlements and infrastructure at high risk.

He is also expected to direct concerned authorities on necessary preparations, planning, and coordination measures to minimize potential risks before the onset of the monsoon.
