Dr. Gyanendra Giri reinstated as Vice Chancellor of BPKIHS



KATHMANDU: After a period of 13 months, Dr. Gyanendra Giri has been reinstated as the Vice Chancellor of the BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences (BPKIHS).

Dr. Giri, who had been suspended from his position, has received a clean chit from the Special Court and is now poised to resume his duties.

The Commission for Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case against Dr. Giri on charges of misuse of his position and corruption on Magh 9, 2079 BS.

However, the full verdict on the case is yet to be published by the court.

Expressing his thoughts on the matter, Dr. Giri, in conversation with Khabarhub, emphasized that the court’s decision has brought him justice.

With his exoneration, Dr. Giri is expected to serve the remaining 16 months of his tenure as the Vice Chancellor of BPKIHS.
