KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration has banned the sale of Cytofen (Paracetamol) manufactured by Lomas Pharmaceuticals.

The regulatory action specifically targets the 500 mg Paracetamol tablets from the company’s CT 2023 batch.

The decision to halt sales comes in the wake of a quality assessment conducted at the National Drug Laboratory, revealing substandard quality of the drug.

Consequently, the Department has mandated the withdrawal of the product from the market and issued a formal notice prohibiting its sale and distribution.
