KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” emphasized the need for Nepal to evolve into a hub for higher education.
Addressing the ninth meeting of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences on Monday morning, Prime Minister conveyed his conviction that elevating Nepal to this status is not only an aspiration but also a realm of substantial potential.
“I have a clear belief that Nepal should be made a hub of higher education. This is not only our aspiration, but also an area of significant potential,” he stated.
“I am happy to learn that students from abroad have started coming to study at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences,” he stated.
Expressing confidence in the foundation’s future progress, Prime Minister Dahal highlighted its direct impact on the people of Karnali Province and the underprivileged areas of Sudurpaschim Province by producing skilled manpower.
“The institution is not only providing services to the poor, it is also producing skilled and hardworking health workers,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
Acknowledging the Foundation’s pivotal role during challenging times, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent earthquake, Prime Minister Dahal praised its contributions in preparedness, vigilance, rescue operations, and medical treatment with a strong sense of responsibility.
Highlighting the imperative to enhance service delivery in the future, the Prime Minister stressed the need for simplicity, convenience, and quality.
He emphasized the importance of nurturing a competitive society by producing qualified, efficient, honest, and patriotic individuals, crucial not only for the nation but also for the global community.
Prime Minister Dahal also expressed confidence that the institution will undertake serious initiatives in innovation-based studies, research, and inventions.
