Public Procurement Office blacklists 22 construction companies



KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office, operating under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, has blacklisted 22 construction companies for failing to fulfill their contractual obligations within the stipulated timeframe.

In a notice released today (Monday), the Public Procurement Monitoring Office alerted the public to the ban imposed on the identified companies.

The blacklisting prohibits these construction entities from engaging in any procurement activities with the public body during the specified period.

The move comes as a consequence of the companies’ inability to complete their contracted construction projects on time, prompting the Public Procurement Monitoring Office to take decisive action to maintain the integrity of the procurement process.

The blacklisted companies include Lohani & Brothers Pvt. Ltd., Bharatpur-07, Chitwan; J.K. Builders, Kohalpur-11, Banke; Sharmila Nirman Sewa, Kalikot; Om Gaurishankar Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Kirtipur; Devi Rama Construction Pvt Ltd, Lalitpur; Khadgadevi Construction, Tanahun; Gajurmukhi Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd., Ilam; and Nawa Nirman Builders Pvt. Ltd., Janakpur-7.

Likewise, other blacklisted companies include MBM Engineering Associates, Bharatpur; Shivalaya Builders, Hetauda; New Neha Enterprises, Kathmandu; M/S Behadababa Nirman Sewa, Kailali; and Panchkhaal Construction Pvt. Ltd.

Other companies include: Ayush & Anush Construction & Suppliers, Damauli; Anupama Construction Services, Gorkha; Annapurna Construction Services, Gorkha; Laxmi Construction, Gorkha; Sharada Construction Company, Birgunj; and Triveni Construction Services, Kaski.
