Principal nabbed for allegedly arranging exam for fake student



KATHMANDU: A principal has been arrested on allegations of organizing the class 12 exam by standing in for a fake student.

Gopal Bahadur Mahat, the principal of Prolific Secondary School, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, has been arrested by the police, according to sources.

He has been accused of facilitating a fake examinee in the class 12 exam.

Navaraj Adhikari, the Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Kathmandu, stated that Mahat was arrested for further investigation into the matter.

Mahat had allegedly arranged for another person to take the exam using a photo ID belonging to a genuine student in class 12.

The police are investigating for details.
