Art enhances international harmony: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ highlighted the role of art in promoting international harmony during the conclusion of the ‘Mundum International Art Exhibition’ today.

The PM expressed that the exhibition significantly contributes to showcasing Nepal’s art and culture globally.

“The artworks featured in the exhibition are truly unique, fostering international harmony. This is crucial for expanding Nepal’s artistic and cultural presence on the international stage,” added PM Prachanda.

According to the PM’s Secretariat, he commended the artists for their contributions in enhancing the nation’s pride through their creative expressions.

Emphasizing Nepal’s natural beauty and uniqueness, the PM described the mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and forests as inherently artistic.
He noted that artists play a crucial role in transforming such natural wonders into tangible art forms.

“I have realized that the message conveyed through this (art) is immensely powerful,” the PM stated.

The exhibition, organized by Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality of Khotang district at the Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu, featured more than 170 paintings from artists representing 50 different countries.

The organizers aimed to promote tourism by highlighting the geographical, religious, cultural, and tourism diversities of the region.
