KATHMANDU: In the ongoing tri-nations T20I series, the Netherlands has set a challenging target of 185 runs for Nepal to chase at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Nepal faced a formidable challenge as the Netherlands put up a strong batting performance.
Batting first, the Dutch team posted a total of 184 runs for the loss of four wickets within the allotted 20 overs.
Michal Levitt, making his debut in T20I matches for the Netherlands, showcased his talent with a half-century, while S. Engelbrecht contributed 49 runs to the team’s total.
Nepal’s bowling effort saw Karan KC and Kushal Malla each claiming one wicket for theteam, as they sought to contain the Dutch batsmen.
The two other wickets were acquired in forms of run outs.
With the stage set for an exciting chase, Nepal will now aim to surpass the target set by the Netherlands and secure victory in this crucial match of the T20I series.
