Netherlands sets aggressive tone with 55 runs in powerplay against Nepal



KATHMANDU: In a spirited display of batting prowess, the Netherlands has notched up an impressive 55 runs while losing just one wicket in the initial powerplay against Nepal.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Nepal faced a formidable challenge as the Netherlands wasted no time in setting a brisk pace for the game.

Karan KC provided the breakthrough for Nepal in the third over, claiming the crucial wicket of Max O’Dowd, who departed after scoring four runs.

Currently, Michal Levitt and S. Engelbrecht are at the crease, contributing 42 and three runs respectively, as the Netherlands continues to build momentum in the match.

With the game underway at the iconic Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, both teams are engaged in a fierce battle for supremacy in the tri-nations T20I series.
