Jomsom-Kagbeni road section blacktopped

MYAGDI: A 13-kilometer road from Jomsom to Kagbeni under the national pride project, Kaligandaki Corridor, has been blacktopped.

The road section has been widened to 11 meters. A contract was signed to blacktop the Jomsom-Kagbeni section at a cost of Rs 281.4 million.

Information Officer of Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project, Bishnu Chapagain said the blacktopping task has been completed and activities related to road furniture have reached the final phase.

Of the 110-kilometer from Jomsom to Korala check point, 75-kilometer road has been expanded and gravelled.

Ninety-two per cent construction along 25-kilometer Charang-Chhoser section has been completed.

Project Chief Dhurba Kumar Jha shared that road from Jomsom to Korala would be gravelled after completion of the upgrading task of Charang-Chhoser section.
