Monsoon winds blanket nation; heavy rainfall expected



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of monsoon winds prevailing across the country.

According to the Division, there is a widespread to general impact of monsoon across Nepal.

In Bagmati, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces, as well as some areas in other provinces, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported.

This afternoon, the skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated spots of Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy across Nepal.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated places in other regions.
