KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) urges voters to participate in upcoming by-elections for the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Province Assembly (PA) in Ilam-2 and Bajhang 1(A) respectively.
In a press release issued on Friday, the EC called upon eligible voters from these constituencies to cast their votes between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday.
The EC confirms that all necessary preparations for the elections have been completed.
To vote, citizens must possess valid identification, such as a voter ID card, Nepali citizenship certificate, national ID, PAN ID, or a driving license, and ensure it matches the final voter name list.
The EC emphasizes that monitoring of electoral activities has been heightened to ensure a credible, free, and fair election.
It also reminds all parties to adhere to election-related laws, including the Election Commission Act, Election Act, and Election Code of Conduct, especially during the silence period.
The Home Ministry has instructed district officers to manage public transportation effectively, ensuring voters can access polling stations without compromising election integrity.
