Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup: Three Star advances to semifinals, beats Paro FC with two goals



KATHMANDU: Three Star Club has secured a spot in the semifinals of the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup undergoing in Pokhara.

In the match played at Pokhara Stadium on Saturday, Three Star defeated Bhutan’s Paro Football Club with two additional-time goals, securing their place in the semifinals.

After a drawn match in the designated 90 minutes, extra time was played. Three Star’s Anish Chapagain scored goals in the 26th and 29th minutes of the additional time.

In the upcoming quarterfinal under the competition, former champions Sankata Club and departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club are set to face each other on Sunday.

The organizers, Sahara Club, have announced that the winner of the competition will receive 1200 thousand rupees, while the runner-up will be awarded 600 thousand rupees.
