Bagmati Province dominates as Surya Tamang takes six wickets, restricting Lumbini to 106 runs



KATHMANDU: In a competitive match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, Bagmati Province showcased their bowling prowess by restricting Lumbini Province to a mere 106 runs at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Bagmati Province’s decision proved fruitful as Surya Tamang delivered a stellar performance, claiming six wickets in a masterful bowling spell.

Bipin Acharya complemented Tamang’s effort by taking two wickets for the team.

Despite the challenging situation, Sushant Thapa managed to contribute 28 runs, while Nirmal Gurung added 27 runs for Lumbini Province.

As the match progresses to the second inning, Bagmati Province now faces the task of chasing down 107 runs in 50 overs to secure victory against Lumbini Province.
