Accident claims life of 17-year-old scooter rider in Lalitpur



LALITPUR: A 17-year-old Suhayang Rai died when a tanker with registration number Ba 3 Ka 8585 collided with his scooter bearing number 02-034P 7328 in Mahalakshmi Municipality, Lalitpur on Monday morning.

Rai was on his way to Milestone College at Balkumari when the accident occurred, police said.

The scooter driver was rushed to Kist Hospital in Imadol, where he was declared dead by the attending doctor.

The body of the deceased is currently being held at Kist Hospital.

Both the tanker and its driver have been detained by the police in connection with the incident.

The authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to this accident.
