Local and westerly winds shaping weather conditions

KATHMANDU: The weather across the country is currently being shaped by a blend of local winds and westerly winds, leading to varying conditions in different regions.

Additionally, the cyclone ‘Dana,’ which has developed in the Bay of Bengal, is partially affecting the Koshi Province.

As of Friday morning, the weather in the eastern parts of the Koshi and Lumbini regions is partly to mostly cloudy.

The Weather Forecast Division has reported that the rest of the country is experiencing partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.

This afternoon, hilly areas, including the Koshi and Lumbini provinces, are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy.

The remainder of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.

The Division has also indicated a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms in a few areas of the hilly regions, particularly in Koshi and Lumbini.

Tonight, the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, are expected to remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will continue to experience partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.

According to the bulletin issued by the Division this morning, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two locations in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight.
