KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has announced plans to align its policies, programs, and activities with the government’s recently approved common minimum program.
The Secretariat of Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel announced that the high-level management group, in a meeting held today at the Ministry of Finance, has decided to incorporate key elements from the common minimum program even into the ministry’s one-day program.
The common minimum program was handed over to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chair of the CPN (UML), and Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of the Nepali Congress, by task force on Ashwin 2, 2081.
On the same day, the Council of Ministers approved the program and committed to its implementation.
The program, which outlines key government priorities, focuses on making the economy more viable and advancing youth partnerships.
During the meeting, it was decided to give special attention to key initiatives for the first 100 days, including inter-ministerial coordination, revenue mobilization, capital expenditure, and the implementation of the Ministry’s annual budget.
