180 Nepali students awarded Pakistan Embassy Scholarships

KATHMANDU: Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Suresh Adhikari, presented “Pakistan Embassy Scholarships” to deserving Nepali students today.

A total of 180 students from 119 schools were awarded the scholarships this year.

Likewise, a laptop was given to the “Best Student”.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized the 12th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony.

The scholarships were awarded to the most deserving Nepali students selected by the respective Principals of schools from across Nepal.

Speaking on the occasion, Adhikari lauded Pakistan for its continued support and advancing technical assistance, especially in the field of education.

This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal.

He also expressed hope that Pakistan’s support would go a long way in reminding the youth of the two countries about a shared vision; an educated youth is beneficial for all.

He praised the significant alumni of Pakistan for contributing to Nepal’s development.

On the occasion, Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, said Pakistan would continue its endeavor for the scholarship program and expanding cooperation from tertiary level to secondary education in Nepal.

He stated that today’s event was a celebration of the students’ success and a reminder of the shared responsibility.

He assured that Pakistan would continue to partner, foster, and further contribute, albeit in a modest way, as their responsibility.

The Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Program, started in 2013, has been growing over the years and has since become popular among Nepali youth, a statement issued by the Embassy said.
