Police nab two in possession of counterfeit currency

KATHMANDU: The police apprehended two individuals with counterfeit notes of one thousand rupees each, resembling genuine currency.

The arrests were made in Kathmandu, and the detainees were informed of the charges by the police.

The apprehended individuals are Kamal Bhujel, a 19-year-old resident of Budhanilkantha Municipality-12, currently residing in Kapan, and Sajan Waiba, also 19 years old, from Makwanpur.

The police had detained both Bhujel and Waiba with three billss of thousand rupees each.

Following further investigation, Sajan was also apprehended with the same denomination counterfeit notes. The information was confirmed by the police headquarters, and additional inquiries are underway.
