Parliamentary committees set to discuss infrastructure, law, and governance bills



KATHMANDU: Meetings of three key committees under the Federal Parliament are set to take place today in Singha Durbar.

The Infrastructure Development Committee, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee, and the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will discuss critical legislative agendas.

The Infrastructure Development Committee will convene at 11 am to deliberate with amendment proposers on the Electricity Bill, 2023.

Around the same time, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee will hold a session at the Federal Parliament Secretariat to review provisions related to the Ministry of Health and Population in a proposed bill to amend certain Nepal Acts.

At 1 pm, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet to consult experts on a bill that outlines the formation, operation, and terms of service for the federal civil service.
