KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a modest increase today following a decline yesterday.
The NEPSE index rose by 3.21 points, reaching 2066.16 at the closing hour on Monday.
While shares in banking, hotel, investment, insurance, production, and trading sectors saw declines, shares in development banks, microfinance, and finance sectors recorded significant gains.
Notably, shares of Nepal Finance and Ganapati Microfinance increased by 10 percent.
Conversely, shares of Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower dropped by seven percent.
Today, 10.7 million shares from 322 companies were traded, amounting to Rs 5.07 billion.
Mero microfinance had the highest trading volume, with shares worth Rs 240 million exchanged.
