UML’s Padam Giri criticizes Prachanda for undermining govt stability

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Padam Giri has criticized Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s statement about the imminent collapse of the government, calling it irresponsible.

Speaking in the House of Representatives on Sunday, Giri expressed concern over Prachanda’s remark, which suggested that the government, formed by major political parties to ensure national stability, was on the verge of collapsing.

Giri described the statement as irresponsible and inappropriate, warning that such remarks could disrupt the political stability of the country and cause unnecessary concern among the public.

He emphasized that the current government, which was formed based on a seven-point agreement, would continue to work towards the development and prosperity of Nepal. Giri also accused certain teachers of being manipulated for political gain.

Additionally, Giri pointed out that the argument stating the agreement made with teachers during Prachanda’s previous tenure should not be implemented, while blaming the current government for the teachers’ protests, was misleading.
