Partial effect of westerly winds affecting Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial impact of westerly winds currently influencing weather conditions in Nepal.

Currently, noticeable changes are occurring in the hilly regions, while most of the Terai areas are experiencing cloudy and foggy conditions.

Additionally, some locations are being affected by a cold wave.

The Division has forecasted clear weather in the remaining hilly areas later this afternoon, accompanied by partly to mostly cloudy skies.

In high hills and Himalayan areas of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, there is a likelihood of light snowfall.

Tonight, most parts of the country are expected to have clear weather, with a chance of snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan regions.

The Division has urged the people to exercise caution due to the effects of fog, and advised against unnecessary travel in areas experiencing snowfall across the country.
