CM Kandel bats for collaboration to speed up development

JUMLA: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has said collaboration and cooperation from all sides was imperative to intensify development works.

CM Kandel said it during a discussion on public service delivery held at Khalanga bazaar this morning.

The event was held by Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers to garner citizen’s feedback on government deliveries.

Acceleration of holistic development and sustainable infrastructures requires a robust cooperation among three tiers of governments, employees, political parties, people’s representatives and private sectors.

He reminded the constitutional provision of collaboration and coexistence to realize national ambition of prosperity.

All sides should be responsible toward development works, he said, adding that public participation in development works make it sustainable.

On the occasion, Karnali Province Assembly member Devendra Shahi also seconded CM Kandel that cooperation was imperative for prosperity in Jumla.

Other speakers shared information about the situation of services from health, education, agriculture and transport offices in the district.

The people’s representatives from local levels underlined the need for proportional allocation of budget.

Chairman of Sinja rural municipality, Purna Prasad Dhital, said local levels need to be incorporated in implementation of development projects.
