Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital construction still incomplete after six years



SAPTARI: The construction of the 300-bed Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital remains unfinished even after six years.

Originally, the construction company was contracted to complete the project within three and a half years.

The delay in completing the hospital building has adversely affected outpatient and maternity services.

The Ministry of Urban Development signed a construction agreement in January 10, 2019 for a total of Rs 316.20 crore.

Despite receiving three extensions, the project is still not complete. The foundation stone for the building was laid by then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav on Poush 26, 2075 BS.

According to the Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project, the construction company has been instructed to finalize the building by next Poush.
