Education Minister inspects Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, meets Babita Kumari Paswan



KATHMANDU: Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel inspected Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, Saptari, on Monday.

Minister Pokharel visited the hospital to learn about the recent incident in which Saptari resident Babita Kumari Paswan was forced to give birth at the hospital gate.

During the visit, the minister met Paswan, who is receiving treatment at the hospital, and inquired about the health condition of both the mother and her newborn. According to the hospital administration, both the mother and baby are in normal condition.

Paswan is receiving treatment and care in bed number 22.

Minister Pokharel also gathered information about the hospital’s service delivery, infrastructure and staffing situation.

He said he would take initiatives to arrange the necessary doctors, health workers and other services required to expand and strengthen the hospital’s services.
