KATHMANDU: Chet Narayan Acharya, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, is set to take the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday.

Province Chief Amik Sherchan appointed Acharya on Monday in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal. This appointment follows the resignation of Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara on Sunday.
