KATHMANDU: The government has decided to submit two key bills to the federal parliament aimed at separating aviation service providers and regulatory bodies.
Announced by government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung, the decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Sunday at Singha Durbar.
The bills include one to establish and manage the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority and another to amend and unify laws related to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
In addition, the Cabinet meeting approved the revised work report of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and nominated Shriram Subedi as the chairman of the Kanti Children’s Hospital Development Committee.
Gurung also informed that the government is focused on ensuring the country’s prosperity and development while addressing challenges, including economic instability.
Despite criticism, Gurung said the current government will remain stable and continue to work towards strengthening the nation’s political and economic foundations.
He also expressed confidence that the two ruling parties would form a stable government and eventually face competition from larger political parties.
