Indian Army Chief Dwivedi calls on PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, currently on a five-day official visit to Nepal, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar on Friday.

During his visit, which began last Wednesday, Dwivedi was awarded the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army (NA) by President Ram Chandra Poudel the day before.

Following the award ceremony, he paid a courtesy visit to the President.

Today, Dwivedi is scheduled to address students at the Nepal Army Command and Staff College in Shivapuri.

On Saturday, he is scheduled to participate in a rally for ex-servicemen in Pokhara, where he will also honor recipients of various awards. He is expected to return to India on Sunday.
