Heavy rain forecasted in several provinces today



KATHMANDU: Currently, monsoon conditions prevail across the country with the low-pressure system positioned south of the usual place.

The weather remains variable nationwide as of now.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported light to moderate rain in parts of Gandaki Province and scattered areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Later today, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

There’s a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in various locations of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few spots in other provinces.

In the afternoon, heavy rainfall is likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and some areas of Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, the country will experience partly to mostly cloudy conditions, with the possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and isolated areas in Madhes province.
