KATHMANDU: Temperatures have continued to soar nationwide, making life increasingly challenging, particularly in the Terai region.

Even Kathmandu Valley hasn’t been spared from the rapid rise in temperatures.

The scorching sun, coupled with a dearth of rainfall, has led to a significant uptick in heat levels.

The Weather Forecast Division has projected that Monday’s maximum temperature in Kathmandu Valley will escalate from 32 to 34 degrees Celsius.

Sunday saw Kathmandu Valley’s maximum temperature peak at 33.5 degrees Celsius.

Updates on today’s maximum temperature will be available at 5:45 pm.

Meanwhile, the Division reports that Bhairahawa and Janakpur surpassed 40 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

In Kathmandu Valley, the current minimum temperature stands at 15.2 degrees Celsius, according to the Division.

Meteorologists have asserted that a minimum temperature exceeding 15 degrees Celsius indicates a hot start to the day.
