I took office to drive change and foster innovation: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has called for the establishment and expansion of industries that increase production with minimal capital.

Addressing the Start-Up Nation 2030 program today, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that with innovative and creative thinking, youth and women can secure employment and income opportunities domestically, reducing the need to seek work abroad.

He highlighted the importance of expanding youth entrepreneurship to replace imports with domestic production, reduce poverty, bolster national confidence, and achieve sustainable development goals.

The Prime Minister insisted that banks should provide loans to enterprises based on project viability rather than requiring asset collateral.

He assured that despite some fraudulent elements attempting to discredit cooperatives, the government is committed to advancing the cooperative sector.

PM Oli stressed the necessity of boosting entrepreneurship nationwide through technology, skills, and capital to see tangible production results.

He stated, “For the prosperity of the country, the government will continue to support the private sector. We did not come to wave the flag in the government. At this age, I did not intend to become Prime Minister again. I came in charge to make a difference.”
