KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed the acting Vice-Chancellor of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dr. Prahald Karki, to immediately convene the executive council meeting in Dharan.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Dahal called Dr. Karki to Singha Durbar and directed him to schedule the executive council meeting.
“Don’t stay in Kathmandu; go to Dharan, call for an executive council meeting, set a date for the interview, and decide to submit the proposal for amendments to the regulations to the Senate,” he directed.
Simultaneously, the Prime Minister also phoned Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet and instructed him to set a date for the Senate meeting within 21 days starting from today.
Earlier, on January 16, Prime Minister Dahal had a conversation with Health Minister Basnet, asking him to listen to the voices of teachers, staff, and doctors at BP Institute for Health Sciences to resolve the issues.
