Nepal A faces a target of 241 runs set by Canada XI in ODI series



KATHMANDU: In the second match of the three-day ODI Series, Canada XI has set a challenging target of 241 runs for Nepal A.

At the outset of the match held at the Mulpani International Cricket Ground, Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Despite a valiant effort from the host nation, Canada XI managed to accumulate 240 runs, losing 10 wickets in the process within 49.5 overs.

Key contributions from Canada’s side included Aaron Johnson’s 36 runs, Navneet Dhaliwal’s 46 runs, Srimantha Wijeyeratne’s 41 runs, and Shreyas Movva’s impressive 68 runs.

On the bowling front, Nepal’s Shahab Alam demonstrated prowess, securing three crucial wickets, while Rashid Khan and Sher Malla supported the effort with two wickets each.

Sagar Dhakal and Bashir Ahmed also managed to claim one wicket each.

The match unfolds against the backdrop of Nepal A’s previous defeat by four wickets in the series opener against Canada on Sunday.
